Une naissance, une tragédie, et après ? Deux actes pour raconter la reconstruction d’une femme en morceaux qui traverse sa douleur avec le détachement d’un fantôme, sans une larme. Pieces of a Woman nous embarque – on est presque en apnée – dans une esthétique hyperréaliste qui emprunte au cinéma d’abord, puis au théâtre. Une histoire de femme, ou de femmes faudrait-il dire, de femmes qui se battent, pour recoller les morceaux envers et contre tout.

Kornél Mundruczó est à la fois sculpteur et orfèvre, il taille dans le vif avec délicatesse, entouré d'acteurs et d'actrices au fil du rasoir, à fleur de peau, au plus proche d’eux-mêmes et de leurs personnages.
