Comment sait-on qu’une rue s’appelle une rue ? Qu’une roue s’appelle une roue ? Et quand on modifie la langue, est-ce que la chose se transforme aussi ?

Dans un espace ludique et coloré, aéré et poétique, cinq personnages s’amusent avec les mots, décortiquent le langage, expérimentent à la façon des surréalistes, jouent avec la musicalité de la langue, questionnent et cherchent à comprendre. Ensemble, ils font surgir une civilisation étrange, cousine de la nôtre, où le langage se dit et se vit différemment.

Inspiré par la faculté d’étonnement des enfants, Le nom des choses est un poème ludique et philosophique, une ode à la langue et à l’imaginaire.
